The Chinese Institute of Engineers-USA (CIE-USA), a non-profit professional organization founded in 1917, is proud to host the 15th Annual Asian American Engineer of the Year (AAEOY) award ceremony on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

eweek 2014 As a member of the national DiscoverE (Formerly National Engineers Week) organization’s diversity committee, CIE-USA created the AAEOY Award in 2002 in celebration of the National Engineers Week. The AAEOY Award provides a platform to recognize outstanding Asian-American professionals for their leadership, technical achievements and remarkable public services in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

During the AAEOY Award event, the community will come together to celebrate the achievements of Asian Americans for their global stature and influence with the Distinguished Science and Technology Award and the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award recognitions.

For the past 14 years, the annual AAEOY Award event is sponsored by industry leaders, national laboratories, technical communities, academia, government agencies and prominent US companies. Over 600 distinguished guests, honorees, corporate executives and community leaders are expected to attend the 2016 event in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The 2016 AAEOY Executive Planning Committee, representing the Greater New York chapter of the Chinese Institute of Engineers-USA (CIE-GNYC), will work with the community organizations, corporate sponsors, institutions and agencies to shine the spot lights on the national stage, and salute our heroes of Asian cultural heritage in New York/New Jersey.
